OK — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an each way payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return instantly, either odds format. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at acca odds calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What actually made a difference was the more serious extras. They’ve got an probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.

Couple of gripes. The interface feels pretty plain — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of arguments with the bookie.

OK — been on this thing for something like five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. I’m UK based, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could work out what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — type in stake and odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that’s where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here each way bet calculator free and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that really made a difference is the more serious extras. They’ve got an implied probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout looks a bit basic — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

So — been using this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — type in stake and odds and you get profit and total return instantly, either odds format. It also handles the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at matched betting gratis and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What actually made a difference were the more serious tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The interface looks a bit basic — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

So — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I could never figure out what an each way return would be once you get five places instead of three. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the bit I open most — type in stake and odds and it shows returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at treble odds calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that actually changed how I bet was the geekier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you the overround, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface feels a bit basic — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. Anyone who even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me last week. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an e/w payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and get a shock. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s here bookmaker margin calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really changed how I bet were the nerdier bits. There’s an implied probability thing that shows what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit if I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. Its interface looks pretty plain — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.

Anyway. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
